Sorry for not posting anything in awhile. I keep forgetting that I even have this blog.
Here is the latest. I really wanted to do a picture working dark to light in the hopes that it would make for a more dramatic look. Plus working in black and white is just fun.
The whole thing was fun to do, although the legs drove me to the brink of sanity. I just could not get them to look as sharp as I wanted. It's a problem I have when working at such a large size (Full size image is 5100x6600). When you look at the picture as a whole the legs seem to dominate the bottom of the picture more than they should, but since I spent so much time on them I choose not to crop them away. If this were say, a cover, I would use that area for text.
Unfortunately once you shrink something down a lot of the detail is lost, that's always a bummer, but at least it's there on the full version. Perhaps I'll post some close ups some time.
The shadow is stronger than it should be in parts, but that's a design choice. I wanted to have a strong amount of black so I kept as much as I could while still trying to create a nice image.
